We offer the first session free so you can make sure being coached assisted with horses is right for you.

Equine Assisted Counselling

Equine assisted counselling offers a combination of traditional talking therapy and working therapeutically and experientially with the horses in a safe, confidential environment.

During a session the client starts and finishes with traditional counselling, this will take up 50% of the session, the other 50% is spent engaging with the horses therapeutically. The more traditional counselling part can be inside siting down and talking, or if the client chooses, and when the weather is suitable we can stay outside, walking and talking, being with the horses, and/or doing some artwork with in the therapeutic process of counselling.

Where as equine facilitated learning, art of horse whispering and coaching sessions can be a one off session, with counselling sessions it is best to contract for a group of sessions, 3 sessions to 12 sessions is normal, and some clients re-contract for much longer . We start with a free session to make sure equine assisted counselling and Adventures with Horses is right for you. During this first session you get the a chance to engage with the horses and discuss and mutually agree how you would like to work and how many sessions you would like.
